AUFBRUCH Summer Retreat

2 days, 3 trainers, 31 PhD students, and 1 goal: Learn how to present, pitch, and network with confidence – That was the AUFBRUCH Summer Retreat in a nutshell.

On 22 and 23 July the PhD students from our project AUFBRUCH met in Jülich and delved into the topic of presenting with confidence. From reflecting on the characteristics of a perfect networker to discussing how the golden circle helps structure presentations, the PhD students learned a lot of concepts around the topics of the retreat. The second day of the retreat was dedicated to experiencing a presentation and giving feedback. All PhD students present one topic they are enthusiastic to each other – be it their PhD topic, old timers, or their favourite game.
