Science Meets Industry

Last week, participants gained valuable insights at “Science Meets Industry”, organized by NRW.Energy4Climate and the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy.
The event focused on the challenges and opportunities of transforming the chemical industry, featuring inspiring perspectives from policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders.
One key takeaway was clear: Germany and Europe as a chemical industry hub have significant potential to build a knowledge-based and competitive future. The Bioeconomy Strategy of North Rhine-Westphalia provides important framework conditions to support this transformation.
A successful example of putting this vision into practice is ReCO₂NWert. The project demonstrates how effective collaboration between science and industry can drive innovative solutions for industrial transformation and help translate research findings into real-world industrial applications.
