Establishing and meeting quality control criteria for novel products which are destined for the feed and food value chains is a challenge. Companies need to identify which process streams and products they need to certify to comply with existing regulation. Not always are suitable quality control protocols in place, or certified. In these cases, academic and industrial research is still necessary.
During this event, you will get an overview of the FARMŸNG project and hear from an expert about legal aspects for novel foods and side-streams. The focus will then be on insect-based products and their quality requirements and analyses. An introduction to the Leroma side-stream platform will round up this event.
