DESCRIPTION:Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have optimized processes in many industries and opened up completely new possibilities for process and product development. We already use AI systems in numerous everyday applications\, often without our knowledge. The potential of AI and the independent improvement of AI-generated processes in the context of ML is far from exhausted and is seen by many as the next big revolution in the IT sector. \nIn the fields of enzyme and bioprocess engineering\, too\, many methods applying AI are already being developed and successfully implemented. But what are the benefits and risks of the technology for users and the companies involved? Which applications are already established and what might be possible in the future?
