SUMMARY:Going with the Flow - Unlocking the Assets of Continuous Fermentation
DESCRIPTION:Description\nMany industrial processes run in continuous mode to maximise space-time-yield. However\, for most industrial fermentation processes\, batch and fed-batch mode are still dominant. The implementation of continuous fermentation processes possesses a huge potential for increasing the productivity. What are the obstacles? Why is continuous fermentation not (yet) used widely? What is research doing to exploit its potential? These questions\, and many more will be answered in our upcoming CLIB Webinar: \nGoing with the Flow – Unlocking the Assets of Continuous Fermentation \nJoin us for an insightful event that explores the exciting world of continuous fermentation! Designed for professionals from both industry and academia\, this event will delve into the advantages of continuous fermentation processes\, showcasing how they can enhance efficiency\, sustainability\, and product quality.\nOur expert speakers will share their knowledge and experiences\, providing valuable insights into the latest advancements and practical applications in this field. We highlight individual aspects of the transition from batch to continuous fermentation\, such as the specifications for the biocatalyst and the technical equipment. Whether you’re looking to optimize your current processes or explore new opportunities\, this webinar is an excellent platform to expand your understanding and network with like-minded professionals.\nDo not miss out on this opportunity to unlock the assets of continuous fermentation! \nRegister now to secure your spot and be part of the conversation. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \nAgenda\n \nRegistration\nThe event has ended.

SUMMARY:IBISBA Stakeholder Event: Let's accelerate innovation in industrial biotechnology
DESCRIPTION:IBISBA Stakeholder Event\nIBISBA is a European research infrastructure and community for industrial biotechnology consisting of research institutions from 10 European countries. \nSince 2017\, we have been pooling European expertise to provide researchers from academia and industry worldwide with integrated services for all phases of bioprocess development projects. Now things are getting more concrete – IBISBA is on its way to becoming a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC). This is a common legal form that facilitates the establishment and operation of research infrastructures of European interest and for which approval must be obtained from the individual member states. \nOnce established\, an ERIC then operates with the individual national nodes. What should such a German node look like\, what should it provide and how do we want to connect with the many individual existing activities and networks in the German biotechnology scene? \nLet’s discuss together on the 11th of December at Fraunhofer IGB in Stuttgart how we can advance industrial biotechnology in Europe and what role Germany can play in this. An event for everyone who is shaping German industrial biotechnology research! \nThe event will be held in English. \nPlease register here.
