But having new ideas and technologies will not be enough. Scaling innovations needs motivated people\, a strong network of experts working together\, and investors to provide the necessary capital. Thus\, CLIB will again bring together innovators\, experts\, and investors for our fourth annual “SME & Start-up Pitch Event @ CLIB” on 03 September 2025 in Düsseldorf to exchange ideas\, build connections\, and advance technologies capable of making a difference. \nWe are adding to the programme this year with an exclusive “boost your network satellite event” on 25 August 2025\, 13.00-16.00 h\, online. If you are an SME\, you can join the online satellite event to reflect on which questions around your technology still need to be answered and let the CLIB managers connect you to relevant partners. \nScope \nWe are going to look at innovations using biomass as a feedstock or biotechnology as part of their process to produce industrially relevant products. The processes can range from purely biotech to combinations of chemical and biotechnological steps. DESCRIPTION:The transport sector accounts for about one-fifth of Germany’s greenhouse gas emissions\, with road transport accounting for the largest share. At the same time\, the automotive industry is confronted with increasingly stringent legal requirements and increasing sustainability awareness among consumers. Sustainability is thus becoming a key differentiating factor for OEMs\, suppliers and service providers. In order to ensure the future viability of the automotive industry\, products and processes must be rethought! \nIn addition to the switch to alternative drive technologies\, resource efficiency\, lightweight construction and the circular economy are of growing importance in the industry. Bio-based raw materials can make an important contribution to sustainable business: thanks to innovative new approaches\, fossil materials can be replaced\, CO2 emissions can be reduced and the circular economy can be promoted. It presents solutions and innovations for replacing fossil carbon with biomass\, CO2 utilisation and recycling. \nThe Renewable Materials Conference (RMC) in Siegburg/Cologne (Germany) is the world’s largest conference on chemicals and materials based on biomass\, carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) and advanced recycling – the only alternatives to fossil-based chemicals and materials. The unique concept of presenting all renewable material solutions in one event hits the mark. It covers the entire value chain from alternative carbon feedstocks\, the chemical industry\, the materials sector\, product manufacturers to brand owners\, and also addresses investors and policy makers.
