SUMMARY:The Advanced Recycling Conference
DESCRIPTION:  \nAll you want to know about advanced recycling technologies and renewable chemicals\, building-blocks\, monomers\, and polymers based on recycling: Hear about it at the Advanced Recycling Conference (ARC) 14–15 November 2022\, Cologne\, Germany (hybrid event). The unique concept of presenting all advanced recycling solutions and related topics at one event will guarantee a comprehensive and exciting conference experience\, including technologies such as extrusion\, dissolution\, solvolysis\, enzymolysis\, pyrolysis\, thermal depolymerisation\, gasification\, and incineration with Carbon Capture Utilisation (CCU). \nAmbitious recycling targets set by the EU\, the commitments of the chemical industry and brands\, as well as the demands of customers are putting enormous evolutionary pressure on the recycling sector. Large shares of unrecycled waste streams on the one hand are set against the demand and search for renewable feedstocks for chemicals and materials on the other hand\, leading to discussions as to which technologies are the most suitable for which waste stream and how to evaluate the environmental impac \nRead more

SUMMARY:Realise-Bio Kick-Off Event
DESCRIPTION:Do you have a biogenic side stream that you would like to recycle? Are you developing a technology for processing biomass? Would you like to drive innovation in the border region between Germany and the Netherlands? \nThen get to know Realise-Bio and network with like-minded people. \nIn the Interreg Germany-Netherlands project Realise-Bio\, we want to realise a circular bioeconomy and recycling economy in the programme area in order to make the Germany-Netherlands border region greener and more liveable. This is to be achieved primarily through the promotion and monitoring of model projects\, which are awarded to cross-border consortia and can be funded with up to 75\,000 €. \nAt our kick-off event on 25 April in Düsseldorf\, we will not only present the project and explain how you can benefit from it\, but also inspire you with ideas for model projects in short pitches and offer plenty of space for networking with partners from the region. \nParticipation is free of charge. The event will be held bilingually in German and Dutch. \nDeelname is gratis. Het evenement wordt tweetalig in het Duits en Nederlands gehouden. \nAgenda: \n \nDas Projekt Realise-Bio wird gefördert durch / Het Realise-Bio project wordt gefinancierd door:

SUMMARY:Sustainable - Smart - Scalable: Realising the potential of biotechnology
DESCRIPTION:Scope\nBiotechnology has already produced many inventions and innovations\, but by far not all new processes and products manage to reach a relevant scale in the market. \nWhat factors influence whether a technology makes the leap into the market? What does it take for these innovations to scale? Which framework conditions favour or hinder the transfer and growth? \nWe want to approach the answer to these questions in a CLIB online forum event on 11 May. For this\, we will look at two successful innovations as examples and discuss together with experts which generally applicable criteria can help us to identify and promote inventions with great potential at an early stage. Look forward to presentations from Evonik\, BluCon Biotech\, and Capricorn Partners. \nIn addition\, we will present our new project Triple-S. Its aim is to identify success criteria and enablers for innovations\, to advance technologies and innovations in their scaling\, and thus to increase their impact potential for the transformation of our economic system. \nJoin us\, be inspired\, contribute your perspective\, and develop strategies with us to scale biotechnological innovations faster. \nAgenda\nClick on image to open the agenda as PDF. \n \n

SUMMARY:CLIB Forum: Upgrading biogenic side streams - feed and food ingredients for a circular bioeconomy
DESCRIPTION:Providing food for humanity – either directly or via feed for livestock – is one of the key pillars of the bioeconomy. Making our food system carbon neutral\, efficient\, and effective means optimising the use of side- and residue streams. This will generate sources of income for primary producers\, but also provide sustainable food\, and\, if managed sustainably\, preserve biodiversity and soil health. \nIn our online Forum \n“Upgrading biogenic side streams – feed and food ingredients for a circular bioeconomy” \nwe are taking a closer look on important question related to this sector.  \nHow will market for food and feed change in future – and how will this influence the availability of side streams? Which high-value ingredients can be valorised from existing and prospective side streams? \nAgenda \n \nFind out more about the project Realise-Bio: www.realise-bio.com. \nRegistration closing date is Monday\, 12 June 2023 at 18:00 \nSponsored / financed by:

SUMMARY:CLIB-Forum: Smart technologies for sustainable construction
DESCRIPTION:The building and construction sector is on the move to sustainability. In the transitional process high energy- and process-related CO2-Emissions and an overall high operational energy demand in buildings must be considered as well as the heterogenic waste remaining after deconstruction which poses a challenge to recycling strategies. This topic is also of increasing political and regulatory relevance\, as also indicated by a recent call for project proposals by the CBE JU. \nIn our forum event “Smart technologies for sustainable construction“ on 05 September we are going to look at innovation\, ideas\, but also hurdles and enabler for sustainable solutions in the construction and housing sector. \nWithin the framework of our projects Triple-S and Realise-Bio we move the focus to smart use cases for biobased and recycled resources and discuss which criteria have to be met for a technology to not only offer a greener solution\, but also make a noticeable difference on the market. \nJoin us and three expert speakers in the discussion and make new connections with other participants. To aid the networking process\, you may leave some additional information on your expertise in the registration mask below. \n \n\n \nThe project Triple-S is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs\, Industry\, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MWIKE). The aim of Triple-S is to identify success criteria and enablers for innovations\, to advance technologies and innovations in their scaling\, and thus to increase their impact potential for the transformation of our economic system. \nIn the Interreg Germany-Netherlands project Realise-Bio\, we want to realise a circular bioeconomy in the programme area to make the Germany-Netherlands border region greener and more liveable. This is to be achieved primarily through model projects for cross-border consortia\, which can be funded with up to 75\,000 €. \n
