SUMMARY:SME & Start-up Pitching Event @CLIB
DESCRIPTION:The transition of the chemical industry towards defossilisation and sustainability will take a broad variety of new processes and products. But having new ideas and technologies will not be enough. Scaling innovations needs motivated people\, a strong network of experts working together\, and investors to provide the necessary capital. Thus\, CLIB will bring together innovators\, experts\, and investors for our second annual “SME & Start-up Pitching Event @CLIB” on 16 August 2023 in Düsseldorf to exchange ideas\, build connections\, and advance technologies capable of making a difference. \nScope\nThe focus will be on innovations using biomass as a feedstock or biotechnology as part of their process to produce industrially relevant products. Processes can range from purely biotech to combinations of chemical and biotechnological steps. We are looking for innovations ranging from bulk chemicals\, such as polymers or platform chemicals\, to fine chemicals such as flavours\, food additives\, or adhesives. Contributions to alternative proteins\, textiles and fibres\, as well as solutions for the building or logistics sector are welcome to participate as well. \nAgenda\nTo open the agenda as a PDF\, simply click the image below. \n \nWho is this event for?\nAs start-up or SME: pitch your idea to relevant stakeholders to receive insights into an investor’s perspective and to network with fellow entrepreneurs and potential partners or mentors. \nAs investor\, industry expert\, or consultant: join to learn about new innovations and get to know the people behind these ideas. \nRegistration for the event is closed. \n  \n  \n \nThis event is funded under two projects from the CLIB portfolio:\nTriple-S will identify\, support\, and transfer those biotechnological and biobased technologies which can make a significant difference to realise a future-proof\, climate- and environmentally friendly business location in NRW. \n \nIt is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs\, Industry\, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. \n  \n  \n \nBioeconomy Ventures aims at creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem within the bio-based industry sector by offering support\, brokerage\, and networking services to the relevant stakeholders. \nThe project received funding from the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (JU) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101023260. SUMMARY:CLIB-Forum: Smart technologies for sustainable construction
DESCRIPTION:The building and construction sector is on the move to sustainability. In the transitional process high energy- and process-related CO2-Emissions and an overall high operational energy demand in buildings must be considered as well as the heterogenic waste remaining after deconstruction which poses a challenge to recycling strategies. This topic is also of increasing political and regulatory relevance\, as also indicated by a recent call for project proposals by the CBE JU. \nIn our forum event “Smart technologies for sustainable construction“ on 05 September we are going to look at innovation\, ideas\, but also hurdles and enabler for sustainable solutions in the construction and housing sector. \nWithin the framework of our projects Triple-S and Realise-Bio we move the focus to smart use cases for biobased and recycled resources and discuss which criteria have to be met for a technology to not only offer a greener solution\, but also make a noticeable difference on the market. \nJoin us and three expert speakers in the discussion and make new connections with other participants. To aid the networking process\, you may leave some additional information on your expertise in the registration mask below. \n \n\n \nThe project Triple-S is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs\, Industry\, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MWIKE). The aim of Triple-S is to identify success criteria and enablers for innovations\, to advance technologies and innovations in their scaling\, and thus to increase their impact potential for the transformation of our economic system. \nIn the Interreg Germany-Netherlands project Realise-Bio\, we want to realise a circular bioeconomy in the programme area to make the Germany-Netherlands border region greener and more liveable. This is to be achieved primarily through model projects for cross-border consortia\, which can be funded with up to 75\,000 €. \n
