SUMMARY:CLIB Forum: Upgrading biogenic side streams - feed and food ingredients for a circular bioeconomy
DESCRIPTION:Providing food for humanity – either directly or via feed for livestock – is one of the key pillars of the bioeconomy. Making our food system carbon neutral\, efficient\, and effective means optimising the use of side- and residue streams. This will generate sources of income for primary producers\, but also provide sustainable food\, and\, if managed sustainably\, preserve biodiversity and soil health. \nIn our online Forum \n“Upgrading biogenic side streams – feed and food ingredients for a circular bioeconomy” \nwe are taking a closer look on important question related to this sector.  \nHow will market for food and feed change in future – and how will this influence the availability of side streams? Which high-value ingredients can be valorised from existing and prospective side streams? \nAgenda \n \nFind out more about the project Realise-Bio: www.realise-bio.com. \nRegistration closing date is Monday\, 12 June 2023 at 18:00 \nSponsored / financed by:

SUMMARY:Your impact on environment and society: Workshop on Responsible Research & Innovation
DESCRIPTION:CLIB is organising in collaboration with the FuturEnzyme consortium an interactive online-workshop on Responsible Research & Innovation. Participants from all perspectives (academia\, policymakers\, industry\, public\, others) are welcome to register for the event via the form below. This workshop is free of charge. \nSummary\nResponsible Research & Innovation (RRI) principles are a must in all current and future investigations. To be sure that we squeeze at the maximum our results\, we have to be sure that we are working in the right direction and in line with the best practices. Key is to never lose sight of the real demanded needs for society and environment. With these priorities in mind\, we have set up a workshop in which to deepen in RRI and apply its principles to practical examples. Experts in the matter will be involved and leading different groups\, which will work together to share personal views and examples. Different aspects will be covered in the frame of RRI principles. Register here to be a part of this integrative experience! \nAgenda\n10.00 – 10.30: Welcome and general introduction \n10.30 – 11.30: Workshop activities in small working groups\, led by RRI experts \n11.30 – 11.45: Coffee break \n11.45 – 12.25: Presentation of the group work \n12.25 – 12.30: Conclusion and farewell \nRegistration\nPlease note that the number of participants is limited. SUMMARY:C1 ThinkTank Meeting: From Ideas to Action - Envisioning the Future of Gas Fermentation
DESCRIPTION:CLIB invites the established international C1 community and all interested partners to this year’s first ThinkTank meeting on the topic of mobile gas fermentation containers. \nAfter a long time of online ThinkTank meetings we will come back to the in-person format with interactive workshops this time. The event will take place in Lunteren\, close to Wageningen (The Netherlands) and it is co-hosted by the Dutch MicroSynC project on gas fermentation. \nDuring the meeting\, you will not only hear about the newest developments in the field of mobile gas fermentation units but we will also work together on strategies how to make the best out of existing and upcoming container units to promote companies’ efforts to close their carbon loops. You will also have time to get in direct contact with the MicroSynC consortium and other key players in your field of interest\, to make new contacts and to meet old friends. \nThe final agenda is listed below. \nAgenda\n10:30 – Welcome coffee \n11:00 – Introduction (Markus Müller\, CLIB) \n11:15 – Group work round 1 (sources\, products and marketing for gas fermentation and requirements for container designs) \n11:55 – From Lab to Industry – Unlocking the potential of bio-CCU at the source (Koen Quataert\, Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant) \n12:35 – Lunch break \n13:35 – Integrated and feedstock flexible syngas-fermentation value chains can accelerate de-fossilization (Robin Post van der Burg\, Torrgas) \n14:15 – Group work rounds 2+3 \n15:00 – Wrap-up and final discussion \n15:30 – Networking \n16:00 – End of event \n  \nThe registration is already closed. If you still wish to attend this event please contact us directly here.
