SUMMARY:CLIB-Webinar: Unlocking Lignin - Turning an Unloved Feedstock into Market Solutions
DESCRIPTION:  \nLignin is a valuable bio-based feedstock\, providing complex molecules already fabricated by nature. It is a byproduct of several biomass-based processes\, and available from a range of sources. Its valorisation has been researched for decades but remains elusive.   \nIn this webinar\, we will present the approaches taken by the two CBE JU-funded projects COUNTLESS und LIGNOFUN. You will hear about different lignin feedstocks and innovative depolymerisation solutions already at demo scale. How can lignin be turned into a valuable feedstock in a future\, sustainable circular bioeconomy? How can the complex biomolecule be made accessible for downstream applications?   \nDuring the final discussion about common lignin preconceptions and hurdles to valorisation all participants are invited join and provide their input.  \n  \nAgenda\n \nRegistration\nclosed

SUMMARY:Bioeconomy GIANTS Webinar #2 – Introduction to Environmental and Social Impact Measurement
DESCRIPTION:As part of the Ecosystem Training Programme\, this second webinar builds on the series by focusing on how to effectively measure environmental and social impact within bio-based initiatives. \nThe European Union’s bioeconomy plays a key role in achieving its ambitious climate targets. But how can we ensure that bio-based solutions truly deliver environmental and social benefits? \nWhy Join?\nThis introduction helps participants understand why environmental and social impact measurement matters and how it can be done in practice. In simple terms\, it shows how to move beyond assumptions and better understand the real effects of projects and innovations on the environment\, people\, and local communities. \nIn today’s transition towards more sustainable and circular models\, these elements are not just technical aspects — they are strategic enablers that can significantly enhance the competitiveness\, and viability of projects in rural areas. \nWho is it for?\nThe session is specifically tailored to the primary sector\, offering practical and actionable insights for: \n• Farmers and livestock producers\n• Cooperatives and associations\n• Clusters\n• Stakeholders across the bio-based value chain \nPlease register here
