SUMMARY:AUFBRUCH Sommerevent 2026
DESCRIPTION:This event is in German only! \nTwo years after the launch of the Graduate Cluster\, we look back on the collaborations that have shaped our work: AUFBRUCH\, its PhD students\, and partners in the Rhenish mining area and beyond. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts\, and we would like to demonstrate how interdisciplinary collaboration can drive (structural) change. \nAlongside selected keynote talks\, our six innovation areas will present how they are addressing the pressing challenges of our time. \nTake this opportunity to network with our cluster and our PhD students. \n  \nAUFBRUCH’s innovation areas are: \nInnovation area 1: Industrial decarbonisation through bio-based process chains\, using the example of the chemo- and biocatalytic conversion of carbohydrate-rich waste streams into ethylene and propylene glycol \nInnovation area 2: Flexible utilisation of new raw material potential\, using the example of recycling concepts for rubber \nInnovation area 3: Increased efficiency through integrated process concepts\, using the immobilisation of biocatalysts for modular production plants as an example \nInnovation area 4: “Survival of the Innovation” through risk minimisation in scale-up\, using the chemoenzymatic synthesis of bioplastics and chiral fine chemicals as an example \nInnovation area 5: Smart logistics for a (de)centralised bioeconomy\, using the example of the synthesis of novel carboxylic acid esters from domestic biomass for the formulation of green plasticisers and lubricants \nInnovation area 6: Overcoming barriers to market entry\, using the example of new biosurfactants \nAgenda \n \n  \nRegistration

SUMMARY:Plan B 2026 – Bioökonomie als neues Geschäftsfeld
DESCRIPTION:(in German only) \nPlan B 2026 – Bioökonomie als neues Geschäftsfeld \nSupply chains are under pressure\, raw materials are becoming scarcer\, and markets are highly volatile: companies that continue to rely solely on Plan A out of tradition are missing opportunities to tap into new business areas and strengthen their competitiveness. \nThe bioeconomy offers genuine alternatives. It opens up new sources of raw materials\, unlocks new markets\, and helps companies become more independent of geopolitical risks. Those who build a second pillar gain resilience. \nPlan B 2026 | Die Bioökonomie-Veranstaltung für industrielle und urbane Räume showcases concrete examples of how bio-based solutions can be translated into industrial or urban value creation. \nOn 8 July 2026 at the Schwabenlandhalle in Fellbach\, we will bring together SME decision-makers\, researchers\, start-ups\, and industry representatives. The programme includes inspiring expert talks\, best-practice examples from Baden-Württemberg\, roundtable talks\, and beer garden lectures. \nOn site will be companies that are already living their Plan B and sharing their journey. Get to know these pioneers and expand your network. \n🔗 For more information on the programme\, speakers\, and registration: \n\nwww.umwelttechnik-bw.de/de/plan-b-startseite
