On September 19, the CLIB Networking Day took place for the sixth time \u2013 a day entirely dedicated to CLIB members and their exchange.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This year, our member YNCORIS<\/strong> invited us to H\u00fcrth to the Chemical Park and together with almost 80 registered participants, we welcomed new members, got to know news and developments of existing members and discussed the future of the bioeconomy and industrial biotechnology.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The CND was opened by our host YNCORIS. Martin Lindmeyer and Christoph Kappenhagen emphasised how important it is for the chemical park that the local companies not only use the space, but also fit into the network of companies, raw materials, side streams and services in the chemical park. Biotechnology is not only a necessary development in chemistry, but also one that fits perfectly into this network.<\/p>\n

Afterwards \u2013 interrupted by extensive networking breaks \u2013 thirteen members were able to introduce themselves on stage.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Scientific Bioprocessing Europe (sbi)<\/strong> presented their new and expanded set of sensors, as well as their technology to automate shake flask cultivation.<\/p>\n

The KOALA Transfer Network for Green Chemistry<\/strong> talked about how they are going to take care of the start-ups of tomorrow. They are looking for people to join them in this endeavour!<\/p>\n

Dr. Lars B\u00f6rger Re+Spire Consultancy<\/strong> showed how we can move forward in circles and how important it is, to not only know and understand your technology, but also to know and understand all your stakeholders involved.<\/p>\n

Frings<\/strong> with over 100 years of experience in biotech and fermentation, presented how they can help customers and partners in choosing the right strain, media, and fermenter for their process.<\/p>\n

BlueSens gas sensor<\/strong> showcased their gas sensors for practically all sizes of fermentation, as well as their software to make the data produced usable for the researcher and connectable to other types of data.<\/p>\n

The Fraunhofer UMSICHT <\/strong>presented how they can support with R&D services or as a partner in funded projects. They named several recent projects and their role, among them the CLIB-coordinated project ReCO2NWert.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

BioHalo<\/strong> talked about their technology: They are going to replace PFAS with bio-fluorinated compounds without losing performance and adding biodegration at the same time.<\/p>\n

The Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant <\/strong>gave an overview of the 100 million euros scaling facilities ready to use for customers \u2013 among them the new 50 m\u00b3 and 75 m\u00b3 fermentation vessels.<\/p>\n

The nova-Institut <\/strong>not only presented their services, but focused on an important topic: Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSDR). They are offering support for companies to understand and master the reporting requirements.<\/p>\n

Carbon Minds <\/strong>talked about their products for companies heading towards more sustainability: Data on Product Carbon Footprint, consulting services to improve sustainability, and training courses to understand Life Cycle Assessment and Product Carbon Footprint.<\/p>\n

Insempra<\/strong> presented how they are producing different products by fermentation using non-conventional yeasts. They are looking for partners to help them grow and scale their technology.<\/p>\n

BIOWEG<\/strong> gave an insight into their innovative platform technology to produce high-value ingredients using side streams and chemical functionalisation steps. They have in-depth expertise in solid stage and submerged fermentation.<\/p>\n

Last but certainly not least, chemstars<\/strong> wants to inspire, support and train people in becoming entrepreneurs. In the last two years the start-ups from their FLTM challenge raised more than 7 million euros in public funding. They are looking for entrepreneurs, future entrepreneurs and companies supporting their mission.<\/p>\n

\"\" These short presentations by our members were the nucleus for the networking breaks in which we not only had many interesting conversations, but the participants also made use of the CLIB network net \u2013 an extension to our traditional networking board, in which existing connections between our members and their expertise were made visible and new ones were forged.
