Three human members of the CLIB team and one mascot made the long journey from D\u00fcsseldorf to Greifswald to join this year\u2019s TransBIB<\/a> Symposium \u2013 and it was worth the time. After a great internal day with the consortium \u2013 discussing what the project had already achieved and where we are heading to in the next project year \u2013 the public symposium was filled with pitches, workshops, project ideas, new contacts, and a local beer tasting in the garden of the venue.<\/p>\n The symposium kicked off on 26 June 2025, with warm welcomes from the University of Greifswald and Dr. Matthias Scholz from the TransBIB team. Scholz emphasised the importance of regional innovation for a sustainable bioeconomy and highlighted TransBIB\u2019s supportive role. The first day featured keynote speeches on peatland rewetting, industrial bioeconomic transformation, and funding opportunities. Highlights included the launch announcement of the TransBIB One-Stop-Shop platform<\/a> and service offerings like certification guidance. In a dedicated workshop on carbon management strategies CLIB discussed together with the participants cooperative business models as currently developed in the ReCO2<\/sub>NWert<\/a> project. The activities in this area will continue in a working group evaluating the possibilities of a joint project proposal on national level. A diverse pitch session showcased innovations from startups, industry, and research\u2014from modular production systems to circular building materials and biobased chemicals. Day two included a site visit to the Cosun Beet Company and presentations from northern Germany’s WIR! alliances, underlining the region\u2019s growing role in bioeconomic transformation.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.clib-cluster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/PXL_20250625_125001214.MP_-300x225.jpg\")
