With speakers from Australia, China, Germany, France, Korea, Japan, the Netherlands, and the USA, the international scientific community was brought together in Tianjin. CLIB was also well represented, with presentations by our Deputy Chairman Prof. Volker F. Wendisch and our Advisory Board member Prof. Ulrich Schwaneberg. CLIB member Pfeifer &amp; Langen was also represented by Dr. Timo Koch.<br \/>\nDuring the symposium, representatives also adopted the Tianjin Initiative on CO\u2082 Fixation and Bioconversion for Global Sustainable Development. It recognizes the central strategic importance of CO\u2082 bioconversion and utilization for promoting global sustainable development. The initiative calls on the global scientific and industrial community, as well as all sectors of society, to address global challenges and find solutions for sustainable development through joint scientific and technological innovation.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative outlines a vision of a sustainable future in which CO\u2082 bioconversion technologies form an important foundation. Increased international scientific cooperation and coordinated innovation are intended to enable transformative progress and create a green, low-carbon future.
