Biophelion GmbH is a young start-up in the field of circular bioeconomy based in Jena. We develop biotechnological and chemical processes to convert locally available industrial by-products of low economic and energy value into high-quality platform chemicals and their derivatives.
\nBiophelion pursues a holistic \u2018Biotech 2.0\u2019 approach: we not only develop microbial production strains, but also combine strain and process development and reactor design into integrated, scalable solutions. By using inexpensive, sustainable second-generation substrates, we address real industrial needs and enable sustainable value creation in the chemical and materials markets.<\/p>\n
We are looking for a Chief Business Officer (CBO) to take on the following areas:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Strategic development of the business model and corporate strategy
\n\u2022 Identification and evaluation of new business and market opportunities
\n\u2022 Establishment and maintenance of partnerships and management of investor relations
\n\u2022 Development, implementation and monitoring of market and go-to-market strategy
\n\u2022 Collaboration on financing rounds and corporate planning<\/p>\n
Your profile:
\n\u2022 Strong understanding of white and green biotechnology markets
\n\u2022 Experience in business development or in building innovative technology companies
\n\u2022 Leadership experience in interdisciplinary teams
\n\u2022 Experience in fundraising in a technology-oriented environment
\n\u2022 Strong communication skills, including for scientific and technically demanding content
\n\u2022 Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to actively build structures in a start-up context
\n\u2022 Ability and willingness to meet regularly in person with the two founders, Till Tiso and Lars Regestein (locations: Jena, Bielefeld)<\/p>\n
