On 19 March 26,\u00a0in the\u00a0TextilTechnikum\u00a0of the\u00a0Monforts\u00a0Quarter,\u00a0between\u00a0historic\u00a0textile\u00a0machinery, the\u00a0<\/span>Textilfabrik<\/span><\/b>\u202f<\/span><\/b>7.0 (T7)<\/span><\/b>\u00a0officially launched \u2013\u00a0a project aiming to transform\u00a0the textile industry into a climate-neutral, circular, and digital future.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Central to the\u00a0T7 are\u00a0the\u00a0CLIB members\u00a0<\/span>Hochschule Niederrhein\u00a0and\u00a0ITA of\u00a0RWTH Aachen University<\/span><\/b>, whose\u00a0expertise\u00a0in textile technologies, bioeconomy, and digitalisation drives the innovation framework.\u00a0Together with the other partners, they will collaborate with industry to realise novel approaches for sustainable textiles by providing design- and engineering solutions.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n With its “real-lab” approach, T7 enables the in-situ testing of\u00a0cutting-edge\u00a0technologies under industrial conditions. Its core modules include:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Industry, research, startups, and regional stakeholders joined the\u00a0<\/span>\u201cTextile Roundtable\u201d<\/span><\/b>,\u00a0organized by\u00a0Zukunftsagentur\u00a0Rheinisches\u00a0Revier, to formally kick-off the\u00a0Textilfabrik\u00a0T7.\u00a0CLIB supported the event by\u00a0giving\u00a0an impulse talk about\u00a0\u201cBiotechnology: Microbes and Materials for an innovative\u00a0textile\u00a0economy\u201d.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A series of\u00a0workshops invited participants to contribute to the different modules.
