\ncarbon continues to grow across fuels, chemicals, materials, manufacturing, and carbon removal,
\neconomies worldwide are seeking to reduce dependence on fossil resources, strengthen
\ndomestic supply chains, and achieve climate targets. The result is an emerging carbon supply
\ngap: carbon remains essential, but its source must change. Closing this gap will require entirely
\nnew carbon infrastructure. Ucaneo is building that infrastructure by turning atmospheric CO2 into
\na sustainable industrial resource.<\/p>\n
\nUcaneo inaugurated Germany\u2019s largest Direct Air Capture (DAC) plant in Berlin-Marzahn,
\nmarking a significant milestone in the emergence of a new carbon economy. The facility removes
\n150 metric tons of CO2 per year directly from ambient air and produces CO2 at over 99.9 percent
\npurity, creating a local source of sustainable carbon for permanent storage as well as industrial
\napplications including sustainable aviation fuels, chemicals, materials, and biomanufacturing.<\/p>\n
\nblueprint for Ucaneo\u2019s next generation of commercial-scale carbon infrastructure. A portion of the
\ncaptured CO2 will be permanently stored through geological sequestration, making it the first
\nverified Direct Air Capture and geological storage project in Germany. With this milestone,
\nUcaneo becomes the first company in Germany and only the fifth company worldwide to
\npermanently store atmospheric CO2 captured through Direct Air Capture, placing the company
\namong the global pioneers of durable carbon removal.<\/p>\n
