Arvid Friebe takes over management of the BioEconomy e. V. office

At its last meeting in December 2023, the board of BioEconomy e. V. appointed management consultant Arvid Friebe to head the office of the Central German industry association. Friebe’s primary task will be to prepare the renowned “Bioeconomy Conference” in June 2024, expand the association’s portfolio of services and attract new members. Friebe will run the business as a part-time interim manager. BioEconomy e.V. represents the interests of the emerging bioeconomy industry and associated research institutions, primarily in the federal states of Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony and Thuringia. The association currently has 48 members, including CropEnergies Biobased Chemicals, the Fraunhofer Institute IWES, UPM Biochemicals and Zellstoffwerk Stendal, which are currently making major investments in sustainable chemistry at the Leuna, Rosenthal and Zeitz sites.
