The BIONetZero Kick‑off in Denmark was an energising three‑day journey in early September for our cohort and for us at CLIB. Meeting the more than 50 selected startups and SMEs in Copenhagen and Odense gave us a clear picture of the talent, ambition, and technological depth emerging across Europe’s biosolutions landscape.

From the IP and commercialisation workshops at Potter Clarkson to the technology deep dives at the Danish Technological Institute, the cohort engaged intensively with experts, explored cutting‑edge infrastructure, and sharpened their market narratives in two CLIB-designed workshops. The final day at Ignite Odense brought everything together — a vibrant mix of pitches, networking, and internationalisation impulses, with Jens Skytte Soerensen presenting BIONetZero’s mission and the momentum behind Europe’s biosolutions community. All start-ups were able to present themselfes to experts and stakeholders from the ecosystem in the Biosolutions Start-up Market brought to the event by the BIONetZero project.

For CLIB, it was a pleasure to connect not only with the 13 companies we mentor in the first cohort of the project, but also with many additional founders whose ideas and drive enrich the wider ecosystem. These encounters reaffirmed the importance of cross‑cluster collaboration and the value of bringing diverse innovators together.

We now look forward to the applications for Stages 2 and 3, where we will continue supporting companies in developing their technologies, business models, and partnerships. The Kick‑off showed clearly: Europe’s biosolutions innovators are ready to grow — and CLIB is excited to help shape that path.
