BIONetZero officially launched

On 28 October, our new project BIONetZero was launched, one of 16 new Eurocluster projects (SMP-COSME-2024-EUROCLUSTERS) aimed at strengthening industrial resilience in Europe. The BIONetZero consortium has now come together to discuss the project strategy and the goals we have set ourselves.

The BIONetZero project ties in directly with the objectives of the EUROCLUSTERS call for proposals and supports the innovation and introduction of net-zero technologies such as biotechnological processes through biosolutions and advanced technologies for strategic autonomy. It is aimed in particular at start-ups and SMEs in the agri-food and energy-intensive industries, helping them to develop their businesses, build robust strategies, scale-up and expand into new markets.

BIONetZero combines the excellence and extensive networks of the four European clusters: Food & Bioeconomy Cluster Denmark (FBCD), the SMART Food Cluster managed by the Lithuanian Food Exporters Association (LitMEA), the German Bioeconomy Cluster (BEC) from Slovakia, and the German Cluster of Industrial Biotechnology (CLIB). Together this experienced consortium will offer tailored technical, strategic, and financial support to a wide range of companies.

At CLIB, we are delighted to be part of this fantastic consortium. The BIONetZero project is at the heart of what we do at CLIB, and we are ready to create a supportive framework for our network, innovative companies and to make a change across diverse industrial ecosystems.
