FuturEnzyme Industry Meeting at Henkel

In FuturEnzyme, CLIB is working together with 15 other project partners from all over Europe to make consumer goods more sustainable, greener and more environmentally friendly with the help of enzymes. CLIB is leading the work package on industrial application tests in the project.

To ensure that the requirements of industrial applications in the three areas of detergents (Henkel), textile processing (Schoeller Textiles) and cosmetics (Evonik) are also taken into account when screening for suitable enzyme candidates, CLIB has organized regular online meetings (Industry Meetings) for direct exchange between the partners involved. The aim of these meetings is also to accelerate process development so that the enzymes identified can also be produced in real life and tested by the industrial partners.

At the end of the project, some of the project partners have now come to Henkel in Düsseldorf for such an Industry Meeting. In a productive exchange with other hybrid project partners, we in the consortium were able to agree on key action points for the remainder of the project. In particular, the direct exchange on site and the exciting tour of the laundry and toilet laboratories at Henkel made the research results more tangible and understandable for everyone involved. The meeting was rounded off with an evening out at the Düsseldorf Christmas market.

We would like to thank our colleagues at Henkel for making the meeting possible in this form.
