New project at CLIB: BIOECONOMY GIANTS

We are happy to be a partner in the BIOECONOMY GIANTS project, which kicked off in Logroño, Spain on 17 June 2025. This coordinating and support action is funded by the Circular Biobased Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) and coordinated by the Cluster Food+i from Spain.

Together with 17 other partners from 8 European countries we will work to develop cooperative and circular biobased business models (CCBBMs). In BIOECONOMY GIANTS, we aim to empower primary producers, foresters, and rural communities by integrating them into sustainable bio-based value chains.

CLIB will use its expertise in training and enabling of industrial stakeholders to transfer biotech innovations into their specific sectors and markets. In the project, we lead the conceptualisation of a series of workshops to identify regional challenges of European primary producers and to support them in the implementation of bioeconomy innovations.

“This project will help CLIB expand its network and contacts towards primary producers. It will challenge us to build new competences in translating between these essential stakeholders at the basis of the circular bioeconomy and the technical innovators and industries further along the value networks.”

The project is supported by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking and its members. Grant agreement ID: 101213069.
