Second Startup Challenge Schwedt – Theme: “Sustainable Materials in the Process Industry”

Following the successful launch last year, the Startup Challenge Schwedt—a joint initiative by the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE), LEIPA Group GmbH, and PCK Raffinerie GmbH—is entering its second round. Once again, teams from across Germany and beyond are invited to contribute their ideas towards driving a successful transformation of the industrial site in Schwedt.

The approach:
The Challenge is organised as an open call (innovative public procurement) addressing a specific technological challenge within the context of regional structural change. Selected teams will be commissioned through a research and development contract to design a pilot project concept for the Schwedt site based on their technology. In doing so, they may collaborate closely with the Challenge’s industrial partners. Subsequently, the most promising concepts will be selected to progress into a larger contractual arrangement, enabling the implementation of their pilot projects at the Schwedt site.
