Lignin is a valuable bio-based feedstock, providing complex molecules already fabricated by nature. It is a byproduct of several biomass-based processes, and available from a range of sources. Its valorisation has been researched for decades but remains elusive.
In this webinar, we will present the approaches taken by the two CBE JU-funded projects COUNTLESS und LIGNOFUN. You will hear about different lignin feedstocks and innovative depolymerisation solutions already at demo scale. How can lignin be turned into a valuable feedstock in a future, sustainable circular bioeconomy? How can the complex biomolecule be made accessible for downstream applications?
During the final discussion about common lignin preconceptions and hurdles to valorisation all participants are invited join and provide their input.
