Since 2016, the annual summit of international companies, political actors and experts in the field of Circular Economy has taken place in locations such as the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Scotland or Belgium. At these hotspots, presentations are held over several days and excursions to good examples of companies were made in order to get to know showcase examples and projects and to exchange ideas. In September 2022, the hotspot will come to North Rhine-Westphalia, Bottrop! It will be organised by the city of Bottrop together with the research project Prosperkolleg and supported by the NRW Ministry of Economics. The event is seen as an opportunity to make the complex topic of the circular economy tangible for a large target group. In this way, the long-term opportunities in the region of circular strategies are to be demonstrated.
